Join us as a Head of Architecture and Engineering, Commercial Lending Take on a new opportunity to lead and shape the end-to-end architecture and engineering direction for our Commercial Lending technology platforms You'll drive innovation and operational excellence across multiple disciplines, from Business and Technology Architecture to Business and Systems Analysis, including Infrastructure, Testing and DevOps Work alongside stakeholders and senior management to drive modern engineering, data and AI capabilities at scale We're offering the role at Managing Director level What you'll do In this role, you'll set the strategic direction for architecture and engineering across our Commercial Lending Technology, ensuring our platforms are resilient, scalable and aligned to the bank's long-term objectives. Collaborate with and lead teams across multiple disciplines to shape how we deliver technology that supports lending products, risk management and client servicing. You'll also be responsible for: Developing and executing a clear architecture and engineering strategy aligned to Commercial Lending priorities Leading and developing multiple director-led teams across architecture, engineering, testing, DevOps, infrastructure, data and analysis Establishing standards that ensure security, performance, resilience and regulatory compliance of lending platforms Collaborating with senior stakeholders to influence technology investment decisions and enterprise-wide transformation Driving modern engineering practices, including Agile and DevOps, to accelerate delivery and enhance operational efficiency The skills you'll need To succeed in this role, you'll bring senior leadership experience across complex technology environments, ideally within the financial services sector, and preferably within commercial lending. You will bring a strong track record of leading at the executive level and delivering meaningful change in an organisation. We'll also expect you to have: Strong experience in enterprise architecture, technology strategy and engineering leadership within financial services or similar sectors A deep understanding of modern engineering practices, including Agile, DevOps, cloud platforms, testing, data and AI technologies Proven ability to lead large, distributed teams and build high-performing leadership communities Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical strategies clearly and confidently Sound commercial judgement, including experience managing significant budgets, risk and supplier relationships
