AI First Product Engineer - An AI-powered digital accessibility solutions company that helps organisations make their content inclusive and accessible for everyone.
About the Role
We are looking for a Builder Engineer—not just a coder, but someone who can conceptualize, prototype, and ship products fast using AI, modern tooling, and strong engineering fundamentals. This is a high-ownership role where you will operate at the intersection of: Engineering Product thinking AI-assisted development. You will take ideas from 0 → 1 → scale, often with minimal specs.
What You’ll Do: Build end-to-end features across frontend, backend, and APIs Rapidly prototype using AI tools (LLMs, copilots, agents) Translate vague product ideas into working systems Integrate with third-party APIs, cloud services, and data pipelines. Optimize systems for performance, scale, and reliability. Continuously iterate based on real user feedback.
Own deployment cycles: build → test → deploy → monitor contribute to architecture decisions for scalable systems.
What Makes This Role Different: You will ship faster than traditional engineering cycles. You will use AI not as a tool, but as a core development layer. You will be expected to figure things out without playbooks. You will work in a low-process, high-output environment
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in at least one stack: Backend: Python / Node.js / GoFrontend: React / Next.js
- Experience building APIs and distributed systems
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Comfort working with databases (SQL + NoSQL)
- Hands-on experience with AI tools / LLM APIs
- Ability to debug, optimize, and ship production-grade code
Nice to Have:
- Experience with: AI workflows (RAG, agents, embeddings) Document processing / PDF / NLP systems DevOps (CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes)
- Prior experience in 0→1 product environments or startups
- Exposure to accessibility or compliance-driven systems key traits builder mindset – you ship, not just design high agency – you don’t wait for instructions comfort with ambiguity – you create clarity Speed + quality balance product intuition – you think beyond code.
